The bar chart presents the average usage per month of a health club in Miami, Florida over the previous year by all full-time members. The accompanying pie chart compares the age proportions between men and women.
According to the graph, more males went to the club than their female counterparts. The most noticeable feature of the graph is that more people used the club in summer in comparison to other months. Male and female members started the year at 550 and 500, respectively, before increasing gradually, reaching their peak in June and July, where the number was approximately 850 for men and slightly above 700 for women. From there onwards, health club usage gradually decreased until the end of the year.
On the other hand, the pie chart showed a striking feature. The proportions between male and female membership were almost equal. Majority of the club’s members belong to the 21-45 age group, which is 55% male and 51% female. Furthermore, more elderly women attend the club than men, at 32% and 25%. Finally, the other age group consists of similar proportions at around 20%.
