The given bar chart provides inforemation about the changes in the places where people accessed the internet between 2008 and 2004. The y-axis shows the pericentage of people.
From an overall perspective, it is noticeable that the four categories have experienced
the different trends. The highest ratio of people surfed the internet from home, while library was the lowest.
To begin with, home was responsible for more than half. The figure dropped gradually to approximately 48% in 2000.After that, this percentage continued its upward trend in the next 4 years to reach a peak at less than 60%. As for the work place, initially, it accounted for almost 30%. The proportion leveled off until 2000. The figure for 2002 was about 5% higher than that of 2004.
In terms of college, from 1998 to 2009,it was stabilized at a fifth. In 2002,the percentage was over 20%, then in the next year, it fell by 5%. Moving to the library, firstly, it was more than one in ten. There were mild fluctuations between 1998 and 2004, ranging from 12% to 18%.
