The graph illustrates the trend of proportions of household with the access of modern technology in United kingdom over a period between 1994 and 2008.
Overall, the upward trend of accessing all technologies represents that with the development and advancement of modern technologies households access to these also technologies also increases.
Firstly, In early time of 1994 and 1995, Only 60% of the households has access of CD players. On the same time only around 20% of homes were using mobile phones. With the time, usage of both CD player and phones increses but due to innovation in technology more household had access of mobile than CD player till 2008. Till the end of given period and even now mobiles phones were on the top of trend.
Secondly, the technology of DVD player and internet was uncommon till 2001. Very few households were using these at that time. In 2001, only 20% home in UK have an internet connection while approximatly only 15% were using DVD player. Acess of both were boosted in almost same manner. 2006 and 2007 were the year when DVD player surpases internet users with over 80% access in UK households.
