The graph illustrate the usage of three variaties of spreads from 1981 to 2007.
In 1981, butter and margarine was used by citizens the most while lowfat and reduced spreads wasn’t popular with some people. Meanwhile, butter had the most comsumption with 140 grams and peaked at 160 in 1986. Afterward, butter have its dramatically downfall from 1986 to 2007, decreased over 100 grams of usage. Beside butter, margarine also used by people in the 1981 but not as much as butter since it was only used about 90 grams. It also had its downfall like butter but then margarine have came back and maintain at a hundred gram until the 1996.
In 1996, magarine had its second collapse, from 100 grams, it decreased to 40 grams in just 11 years. Also in 1996 lowfat and reduced spreads was more well-known to the people and use by some of them, about 10 grams have been used in 1996 and increased skyrocket to almost 90 grams and intersect with margarine and then reduced to 70 grams in 2007. At the end of the graphs, three spreads have changed their position in usage. First place with lowfat and reduced spreads with 70 grams, which shows people in 2007 use less spreads and focus on more lowfat products. Second place and third place with butter and margarine repectively by 50 and 40 grams.
In conclusion, we can see that people in the 2007 have changed their way in consuming spreads compared to 1981. As in 1981 the total of usage is about 200 grams but in 2007 there is only about 160 grams.
