Overall, the percentage of using the Internet among people increased in all countries over the period shown. It is also clear that, the highest proportion was observed in the figure for Canada.
In 1999, the proportion of Internet users in Canada was 20%, while the figures for The USA and Mexico were noticeably lower, at around 10% and 5% respectively. During the next two years, the percentages of Canadian and American Internet users rose significantly. In 2005, the proportions of using the Internet in both countries equalled, reaching 70%.Meanwhile, the figure for Mexican internet users went up noticeably to 20%.
There was a considerable growth in the proportion of the Internet users in Canada from 70% to 100% until 2009, taking the dominance over the others. The figure for American Internet users, similarly, experienced a marked rise from 70% to 80 % in the final year and ranked the second position. As for the proportion of people using the Internet in Mexico, it went up slightly from 30% to 40% in 2005 and 2009.
