The line graph illustrates the forest industry production in a European country, timber, pulp, and paper between 1980 and 2000. Overall, the paper production became significantly highest by 2000, while timber fluctuated and ended the lowest level. Pulp showed a steady upward throughout the period.
The production of timber initially stood at 4 million tonnes, after which it reached 10 million tonnes before declining to 8 million in 1990. It continued to drop until 1995 and started to show some rises, reaching 8 million tonnes again however, it decreased to 6,5 million by the end of the period.
The figures for pulp and paper were almost at the same level however, pulp went up to 7 million tonnes in 1985 and rose gradually until the end of the period while, paper only recorded 6 million. After that, paper outrun pulp, reaching 7,5 million tonnes in 1995 before dropping, followed by another increase to 11 million tonnes
