The line chart shows the number of cars in hundred of thousands that have been and will be produced by four different countries, namely, China, UK, Japan and the USA for the years 2020 to 2035.
Overall, it can be seen that the production of cars is expected to decline for the countries UK, Japan and the USA, while only China shows a positive trend. Furthermore, China will be the country that produces the most cars in the future.
In 2020, Japan produced the most cars with a figure of around 350,000, while the USA manufactured around 300,000, the UK 200,000 and China the least with 100,000 cars. By 2025, the number of cars produced is expected to decrease for the UK and the USA and reach its low with a figure of 50,000 cars for the UK and 30,000 for the USA in 2035.
Japan’s car manufacturing shows a different trend. First, the number of cars produced will increase to around 470,000 to then start to decline to a low of 100,000 by 2035. The only country that shows a steadily positive trend is China. The amount of cars produced is expected to increase from period over period with 110,000 in 2025, 120,000 in 2030 and to a peak of 130,000 cars by 2035.
