The line graph illustrates the number of enquiries received by a university admissions office through three different channels between January and June 2021.
Overall, enquiries made in person increased dramatically throughout the period and became the most widely used method by June. In contrast, the figure for letters and emails declined steadily, whereas telephone enquiries showed an overall upward trend despite a slight fall at the beginning.

Meanwhile, enquiries sent by letter or email fell gradually to roughly 700.
From April onwards, the number of in-person enquiries increased sharply, reaching approximately 1,200 in April and then climbing further to 1,900 by June. Telephone enquiries also experienced significant growth, rising from 1,000 in April to 1,600 at the end of the period. In contrast, the figure for letters and emails continued to decline, dropping from about 600 in April to only 350 in June.
