Overall, it is clear that enquiries made in person and by telephone increased over the six-month period, while enquiries sent by letter or email decreasing. In person enquiries shows the most dramatic growth and became the most common method by the end of the period.
Looking first at enquiries made in person, the figure rose significantly from approximately 400 in January to around 1900 in June. The growth rate over the last three months is nearly double that of the first three months. After increasing gradually to about 800 enquiries in March, the number climbed rapidly and its peak at the end of the period. Telephone enquiries followed a similat trend. After falling slightly from about 900 to 800 enquiries between January and February, the figure increased steadily to reach approximately 1600 by June.
In contrast, enquiries made by letter or email showed the opposite pattern. The number decreased consistently throughout the period, falling from roughly 750 enquiries in January to about 350 in June. This method became the least popular eas of enquiry by the end of the six months.
