The line graph depicts the number of inquiries received by the Tourist Information Office from January to June in a city in 2011.
As can be seen, there were three types of communication used as media to send the inquiries. Overall, the number of inquiries in person and by telephone increased over the period, whereas the number of inquiries by letter or e-mail decreased.
In January, the Tourist Information Office received the greatest number of inquiries by telephone, being just over 800. This was slightly higher than by letter or e-mail and in person, which were nearly 800 and just over 400, respectively. However, apart from a brief decrease in February to 800 and remaining constant from March to April at 1000, the number of inquiries sent by telephone constantly increased to 1600.
In sharp contrast to this, the number of inquiries sent in person constantly increased until it overtook the inquiries sent by telephone in June and became the greatest number of inquiries received by the Tourist Information Office over the period, ending at just over 1800. Whereas, the number of inquiries sent by letter or e-mail gradually decreased over the period, ending at under 400.
