“The line chart illustrates the quantity of enquiries received by the tourist information office through three different methods, including in person, by letter/email, and by telephone over six months in 2011
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the quantity of enquiries in person increased significantly over the period, while the enquiries by letter/email declined considerably, and then stayed stable. Telephone enquiries fluctuated slightly at first before this figure rose considerably
Looking at the line chart in more detail, it is obvious that the number of enquiries made in person increased steadily from approximately 450 in January to 600 in February and 800 in March. It then rose sharply to 1,300 in April, before reaching a peak of around 1,900 in June. Meanwhile, the number of telephone enquiries fell slightly from 900 in January to 800 in February. It then increased to 1,000 in March and remained stable in April, before rising considerably to 1,400 in May and 1,600 in June.
By contrast, the number of enquiries by letter/email fell from approximately 750 in January to 700 in February, where it remained stable in March. It then declined further to 550 in April and 350 in May, before remaining unchanged in June.’
