In 1987, the number of international tourist of Coast topped the chart with 40 thousands people, while the figure for mountains trailed far behind with 20 and closely followed by the data for lakes which about 10.
Despite having the least guests at the beginning, the data for lakes witnessed a dramatic growth from about 10 thousand national guests to 40 thousand in 1997, eventually surpassing the figure for mountains at 20. Before the data for lakes peaked at nearly 80 in 2002, it surpassed that of the coast and then plummeted to approximately 50 in 2007. While the static for the coast experienced a marginal drop from 40 to about 35 in 1992, it soon recovered and increased dramatically from nearly 35 to approximately 70 in the final year. The number of overseas visitors to mountains remained unchanged in the next five-year period, about 20; after that, it rose gradually from 20 to nearly 40.
