The line graph illustrates how many tourists visited various areas (the cost, the mountains, the lakes) in one European country over two decades, from 1987 to 2007.
Overall, the numbers of visitors to the cost and the lakes experienced rapid changes, whilst the figure for the mountains grew gradually with a fluctuation in the middle.
With regards to the number of the tourists to the coast, it began at 40 000 and then declined slightly by about 5000, from 40000 to 35000 between 1987 and 1992.Thereafter, the figure increased significantly over the next years reaching at approximately 75000 in 2007. The figure for the lakes quadrupled(increased fourfold) from 10000 to 40000 over the next first decade (1987-1997) and continued its upward trend to reach a peak of 75 000 in 2002, where it surpassed the coastal numbers. However this trend declined sharply to 50000 at the end of the period.
