The graph provides data on the percentage (0 – 30) of Australian export to four countries – Japan, US, China, and India in 22 years from 1990 to 2012.
Overail, Japan and United States noticeable decreased, while China and India dramatically rises. Japan was leading at the start but being overtaken by India at the end.
In 1990, Japan was leading in Australian export with around 26 percent, but in 2012 it decreased to about 17 percent and became the second destination for Australian export. Total percent of Australian export to the United States also fell. In 1990 it was just over 10 percent, but at the end of analysed period in 2012 it got only around 7 percent.
At the same time, Australian export to China in 1990 was about 3 percent, and then it rose to approximately 28 percent in 2012 and became the leader at the end of analysed period. Export to India remained stable in around 2 percent for 10 years from 1990 to 2000. Later it increased significantly, had its peak in 2010 just under 10 percent and then fell to about 6 percent in 2012.
