The line graph provides information on how many people participated in four different types of sports- basketball, tennis, badminton, and rugby- in a specific area between 1985 and 2005.
Overall, despite the initial dominance in the number of people participating in rugby, it eventually bottomed the chart and converged with the count of badminton players. While the count of players in tennis rose steadily and took the lead, that of those taking part in basketball and badminton ranked third and fourth, respectively and remained almost unchanged.
The number of people playing rugby and tennis remained higher overall, with the two showing diverging trends. There were approximately 250 rugby player initially, but this figure followed a downward trajectory and ended at 50 number of players in 2005. The count of tennis participants, on the other hand , exhibited an opposite pattern. Starting at 150 in 1985 , it increased significantly reaching roughly 225 participants at the end of the period.
Participation in basketball and badminton was the lowest and remained largely unchanged. The figure for the former started at approximately 75 and virtually stood steady throughout the period. Badminton didn’t attract or lose any players having approximately 50 throughout the period .
