Overall, the number of Chinese and Arabic language speakers increased significantly over the period,while the figure for Greek and Italian first language speakers dropped. The number of Chinese speakers stood out other categories showing the highest number in last years.

Focusing on the most popular languages, the amount of Chinese speakers was just above 100.000 in 1986, after which it increased to around 350.000 in the final year and became the dominant language.

The figure for someone whose first language is Arabic started on roughly 50.000 in the first year,the figure that then rise to about 150.000 in 2011,showing the same results with Chinese.

With regard to a lower categories. The number of Greek language speakers was around 250.000 in 1986 and this was followed by a noticeable drop to roughly 180.000 in the final year.
