The line graph illustrates how many shops, in thousands, were opened and were closed from 2011 to 2018. Overall, it is clear that almost every year the amount of the former was bigger than the number of the latter.
In 2011, there were around 8500 opened shops and approximately 6500 closed ones. Later, in 2012, the amount of new businesses fell significantly by 45 hundreds. From 2012 to 2014 its number increased by 2 thousands and shop closures had the same level.
In 2015, the line graph of closures decreased and reached the lowest point of this period, less than 1000 shops were closed, while 4000 shops were opened. Later, in 2016, the amount of unsuccessful shops increased and the number of closures was more than 5000. In comparison, after 2016, the difference between starting and finishing working shops was not huge, it was no more than 2500 thousands till 2018.
