The line graph shows the number of male and female university graduates in Canada between 1992 and 2007.
Overall, the number of university graduates increased for both genders over the period, but the number of female graduates was always higher than that of males. The gap between them also became wider over time.
In 1992, around 100,000 women graduated from university, compared to about 70,000 men. The number of female graduates rose slightly until 1995, then dropped a little before increasing again after 2000. From 2001 onwards, the number of female graduates grew quickly and reached about 150,000 in 2006.
The number of male graduates also increased gradually. It rose from about 70,000 in 1992 to around 75,000 in 1995, then slightly decreased and stayed almost stable until 2001. After that, it started to increase more quickly and reached just over 90,000 in 2006.
In conclusion, both male and female university graduate numbers increased, but the number of women grew faster and stayed higher during the whole period.
