The supplied bar chart compares the number of visitors attended three popular museums ( such as Met, Edo and National) in three different countries over five year period from 2000 to 2005.
At first glance, it becomes clear that National museum in China had the highest number of visitors among all three museums at the end of the period. Meanwhile, the lowest figure was recorded at the end of the given period in Edo. Moreover, Met had the second highest figure as well as at the beginning of the period.
Looking of the details, as regards National museum started at 6 million in 2000, then went up gradually over the next three years, at which point it levelled off at approximately 11 million until 2004. After that there was a dramatic increase, finishing at around 16 million in 2005. According to the Met museum in New York, which started at 12 million in 2000. After, the figure sharply plummeted by 6 million in 2001 and having remained stable until 2002. Despite declining dramatically to 6 million in 2002, the figure then recovered to 12 million in 2004. Following this, number of visitors increased steadily. Subsequently, it reached 14 million in 2005.
By contrast, the number of visitors of Edo went in the opposite direction. The figure demonstrated the same result around 13 million during two years between 2000 and 2001. Having dropped gradually to just over 9 million in 2002, the figure then rose slightly till 2005.
