Overall, the percentage of families using internet in the UK and France witnessed an upward trend whereas the reverse was true in Germany. In addition, although the rate of German households using the internet was the highest number at the beginning of the period, this figure bottomed out.
Turning to details, the proportion of families using the internet in France was stood out at 40% in 2010, which was the lowest rate in this year. This figure, however, reached 50% in 2015 before witnessing a noticeable rise to 90% in the second half of the period and took over the dominance. Regarding the United Kingdom, the share of families which use the internet grew moderately from 50% in 2010 to 80% in 2015. However, after 5 years, this proportion declined by 10% in this nation.
If we look at the Germany, downward trend can be seen. The rate of French households using the internet was around 87% in 2010, which was the highest rate in this year. However, this figure saw a dramatic decrease throughout the period and dropped to 50% and this was the lowest value on the list.
