A glance at the line graph provided reveals the percentage of households with various technology in the United States from 1995 to 1999.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is evident that the percentage of all kinds of households has a increasing trend except some slight fluctuations in figure of DVD player. Also, more than half of American families had washing machine throughout 1995 to 1999.
In terms of the percentage of washing machine, no other ratios are as high as it, which accounts around 60% in 1995 and around 80% in 1999 followed by computer with about 40% in 1995 and about 70% in 1999. Meanwhile, in 1995, the percentage of phone was lower than washing machine, computer and DVD player, but gradually its figure surpassed that of phone and computer respectively.
With regard to the percentage of DVD player, the figures of this maintained relatively stable and had not changed too much compared other four kinds of households. Maybe the arising of internet contributed to this phenomenon.
