The graph illustrates data about the proportion of self employed workers of the total workforce in five different countries in two years, 1998 and 2000.
Overall, it is clear that the percentage of self employed workers saw a decrease in Greece and Turkey, in other countries named Russia, Slovakia, and Czech, there was a slight increase in the percent of number of workers. Additionally, the Turkey and Greece included the most number of self employed workers in both years.
The percent of self workers accounted for around 5% in Russia and Slovakia in 1998, but by 2000, the proportion of self employed workers increase to 7% while this number doubled in Slovakia. Similarly, the percentage of workers in Czech was around 12% in 1988, which increaed by 3% till the 2000.
Differently, the Greece and Turkey countries constituted the highest rate of self employed workers in both years, 1998 and 200, while experienced a slight fallen in these years. The 42% was the proportion of self employment workers in Greece in 1998, before dropped to around 35 percent in 2000. Also, there was a sharp decline in the rate of these wokers to 39% in Turkey in 2000, after hit a peak with 55% in 1998.
