The bar chart compares the proportion of jobless individuals from 15-24 years old with the overall rate of unemployment in five different countries (Poland, Italy, Hungary, Germany, and Denmark) in 2005.
Overall, the percentage of unemployed people in the 15-24 age group was higher than the overall unemployment rate in all countries listed. Both figures were highest in Poland, whereas the opposite was true for Denmark.
It can be observed from the chart that around 37% Polish people aged 15-24 were out of work, in comparision with 27% of Italians. In addition, this figure was nearly 25% for Hungary and Germany, while it was approximately 14% for Denmark.
Also, the overall unemployment rate was highest in Poland (27%), followed by Germany and Italily, at exactly 20% and 15%, respectively. Meanwhile, there was roughly 13% of Hungary’s population was jobless, which was slightly higher than that in Denmark, at nearly 8%.
