The aim of the given bar chart is to demonstrate the influx of jobless individuals aged between 15 and 24 and total in five distinct countries in Europe during 2005.
Generally, it can be observed that Poland experienced the highest number of unemployed people throughout the timespan surveyed , whilst the opposite was true for Denmark. It is also noticeable that the young unemployed people rate always had higher figures than that of the general unemployed rate.
In term of Poland, over 35% of young individuals were jobless, which was 20% higher than the figure for the total rate. Moreover, Poland’s figures were by far the highest among five given countries. Similarly, Italy and Hungary displayed big differences between the two rates. The unemployment rate among young unemployed in these countries hovered around appropriately 18% to 24%, while the total unemployment rate was around 8%.
Another point worth mentioning is that Germany’s figures was only roughly 15% for young unemployed people, and 10% for the overall rate. In addition, Denmark had the lowest figures with only 15% of young jobless people and 5% for total.
