The bar chart compares percentage access to internet in urban and rural setups in a certain European country. The recorded period is five years, from 2008 to 2013. Internet Connectivity increased significantly in both settings within all the years.
Barely Less than 5% of the rural households had internet access in 2008. Notably, access increased steadily and by 2013, approximately 35% of the households could access internet. In 2012, the number of households accessing internet in rural setups was approximately half the number in urban areas.
On the other hand, in 2008, more than 10% of urban residential areas had internet access and likewise, the percentages increased over the five years to approximately 55% by 2013. The increase is not steady however compared to rural because there was a double-digit increase for the first three years in the urban settings and a slight increase in the last two.
Notably, there was no drop in percentage of households who accessed internet in both set-ups.
