The line graph illustrates the percentages of people in four age groups (7-14, 15-24, 25-34 and 35+) who went to the cinema more than once a month from 2000 to 2011.
Overall, the 7-14 age group consistently recorded the highest cinema attendance, while people aged 35 and over had the lowest figures throughout the period. Although there were noticeable fluctuations, most groups experienced an overall increase by 2011.
In 2000, around 38% of children aged 7-14 visited the cinema more than once a month. This figure rose sharply to about 55% in 2002, before dropping to 35% in 2004. It then climbed again to approximately 55% in 2006, fell to 40% in 2008, and finally increased to around 55% in 2011.For the 15-24 group, the percentage started at about 28% in 2000 and increased steadily to roughly 42% in 2004. After declining to nearly 30% in 2008, it recovered to approximately 45% by the end of the period.
Cinema attendance among 25-34-year-olds was lower, rising from 18% in 2000 to 26% in 2006, before ending at about 20% in 2011. The 35+ group showed minimal growth, increasing gradually from around 3% to about 5%.
