The most striking feature of the graph is that from 1981 to 1990 the energy units were stagnant for natural gas and then gradually risen till 2000. In sharp contrast energy units of coal plummeted in 1984 then spurted slightly till 1986 and henceforth showed constant decrease.
At a fleeting glance, it can be observed that in given time span petroleum as fuel dominated.
