The line graph depicts the amount of the production levels of the major types in the United Kingdom from 1981 to 2000.
Overall, it can be seen that there 3 types of fuels such as petroleum, natural gas and coal. Measurement unit is energy unit and one energy unit equalls oil’s one million tones energy. For the petroleum and natural gas, they have a increasing trend, in contrast to coal has a decreasing trend during the period.
At the beginning of the period, natural gas was just under the 40 units, separately coal and petroleum were 80 and approximately 90 energy units. The notable feature is coal was sharply went down to nearly 39 energy units, conversely natural gas was just above of the coal in 1984. Between 1991 to 1992, natural gas and coal’s levels were equalled. Also, coal were minimally declined to average 37 energy units, in contrast natural gas were gradually jumped to nearly 100 energy units until end of the period. In 1984, petroleum was just above 140 energy units and it was fluctuating to 1988. And, it was reached to the worst level of the graph in 1990, continuing it was slight decrease until 2000.
