The line graph shows the sales in one country of three popular genres: adult fictions, educational and children’s books from 2002 to 2006.
Overall, the sales of children’s books were higher than others genres at 2006. Meanwhile,adult fiction and educational books , despite substantial fluctuations from 2002 to 2006 reached the same amount of dollars in 2006.
Beginning with 2002, children’s book was approximately at the point of 33 million dollars and then started to grow, surpassing the adult fiction between 2002 and 2003, at nearly 40 million dollars. Subsequently, it was increasing until reached its peak at 2006 with about 55 million dollars that was the highest indicator between other sales.
In 2002, educational books had the lowest sales with about 25 million dollars, at the same time adult fiction was the most popular type of writing and was higher than educational books at about 20 million dollars. After this, educational books started to fluctuate from 2003 until 2005 between 26 million and 32 million dollars. Adults fiction became to fall gradually, reaching the same sales amount as educational books – about 30 million dollars.
