The bar chart compares the three kinds of greenhouse gas emission sources (oil, coal and gas) in UK between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, gas showed an upward trend, while coal experienced a decline over the period. Oiremained relatively stable. It is also noticeable that gas recorded the highest figure at the end of the period, whereas coal had the lowest.
Looking first at gas, the figure stood at just over 200 in 1990. It then increased gradually to 300 in 2000, before reaching 310 by 2010. By the end of the period, it had risen to 330. A similar pattern can be seen in oil. Its figure started at just over 250 and fell steadily to 230 in 1995. It then remained relatively stable until 2000, before decreasing slightly to 200 in 2010.
Turning to coal, the figure stood at 300 in 1990. It then decreased significantly, reaching 180 in 2010.By the end of the period, gas had the highest figure, at just over 300, followed by oil, at, 200, while coal recorded the lowest, at 180.
