Overall, it is clear that the money spending on all types of visit significantly increased, with the highest was for holiday while the opposite was true for miscellaneous. Additionally, only holiday started the development at 9 billions, others started under 3 billions.
Looking at the first two type, holiday and business, the spending of UK residents on holiday begin with 9 billions in 1993, then continued increasing and reaching at about 25 billions in 2008, then dropped to over 21 billions, however, in 2014, it increased at under 29 billions, remaining the highest reason for spending on abroad. By contrast, the firgue of business had a slight growth from over 2 billion in 1993 to approximately 3,5 billions in 2013.
Shifting the attention to the remaining reasons, people spent their money going abroad for miscellaneous just about 1 billion, having fluctuation over the 20-year period, then it slightly increased over 1 billion, compared to that of gathering friends or relatives grew up from nearly 1,5 billion to 3,5 billion in the end of the period.
