Overall, the students from South East Asia recorded the highest number compared to the other regions during the period. In contrast, there was a considerable decline among those from South America and Europe over the years, whereas international students coming from Africa & Middle east experienced a consistent rise by 2001.
If we look at the enrollment rate of South East Asian students, the figure began just under a quarter in 1998, and then there was a significant drop of around 16% a year later. However, the number of international students entering to Cathedral school from these regions recovered, surging to an impressive of 27% in 2001. As for Africa & Middle East students number, a tenth of young learners from these countries entered to Cathedral school in the first years. Then, this figure witnessed a consistent rise over the years, reaching its peak of 18% by 2001.
The rest regions, South America and Europe, on the other hand, their enrollment rates went opposite direction. Despite dropping from 15% in 1998 to 10% in the following year, American enrolled students to the school declined further, finishing the chart with a low of 6%. Similarly, overseas students from Europe, followed somewhat the same trend, with a few minor fluctuations. One out of then students entered to Cathedral school from Europe initially, a figure later went up gradually to 13%, before falling significantly in the following years, hitting just 7% by 2001.
