Overall, The figures for the UK and Germany increased, while opposite was true for France. The recycling rates of the UK and Germany showed a steady but significant rise over the period. It is important to note France, despite being dominant in the initial year, lost its dominance.
Starting with the UK , growing by almost 5% at the beginning of the period from 35% to 40%. After that, it almost remained stable over the next 2 years, after which it sharp increase until the final year, recording the all-time highest recycling rate. The figure for Germany started with smallest share at 20%, after which it experienced a steady increase till the final year reaching just under 60%.
Turning to the remaining country recycling rates, it started with largest share at 50%. Figure then saw a sharp decline until 2013 reaching 30%. After that, it faced a slight increase in the final year accounting for approximately 40%.
