Overall, the proportion of the young population from 5-9 and 10-14 show an upward trend while the opposite was true for 0-4 and 15-9 age group
According to the data of the chart, the figure for 10-14 age group went up steadily to over 26% despite occuping the lowest position in the first year at 23%, achieving the highest point in 2001. Meanwhile, the percentage of 5-9 age group increased significantly to over 26% in 1998 before dropping slightly to 26% in 2001.
On the other hand, the proportion of the young population aging 10-14 witnessed the largest change throughout the period. The data started at 26% in 1990 and fell remarkably to 23,6% in the next year. Additionally the proportion of teenagers from 15-19 age group remain stability at around 25% although the figure saw the decrease.
