The graph illustrates the number of students which participate in four different activities.
What stands out from the graph is that football remained the most popular activity throughout the period. In addition, while basketball began with high popularity, it ended as the lowest popular activity.
To begin with football and basketball, the former’s number of students started with 60 students then there was some fluctuation until 2006, reaching around 70 students, eventually it finished at around 68 students, while the latter’s participating students started with approximately 55 students. Having experienced a slight growth reaching 61 students in 2005, after which it fell remarkably, hitting 20 participating students. Then there is a levelling out till the end of the period.
Focusing on running and swimming, while runners and swimmer students grew in similar proportion in the first four years, from 2001 to 2005, the runners then fall as the swimmers continued to increase. Next the Runners plateaued at around 61 in the final four-years period; simultaneously the swimmers declined steadily to about 26 by the period’s end.
