The bar graph illustrates the proportion of four different age groups of internet users over a period of 2 years, spanning from 1998 to 2000.
Overall, while there were negligible changes in the figures of all age groups, it is clear that 16-30 age category had the highest share of internet users throughout the period. On the other hand, the age group of those less than 15 had the lowest percentage of internet users.
The figures of age groups 16 to 30 and 31 to 50 had the highest percentage of internet users over these three years. However, both experienced a downward trend. As a result, the share of age groups between 16 to 30 and 31 to 50 years old declined from their peaks, approximately 53% and 41% in 1998 to about 44% and 38% in 2000, respectively.
In contrast to the previous age groups, the Less than 15 and 50 or more age groups had the lowest percentage of internet users. Nonetheless both groups showed a slight increase from about 2% and 4% to 9% and10% respectively.
