Overall, the number of deaths caused by poisoning increased drastically, whereas the number of deaths due to lung cancer decreased moderately. In addition to that, lung cancer and chronic liver diseases were also the growing cause behind the males death. However, less people died due to diabetes throughout the given timeframe.

In 2000, the highest number of people died of lung cancer, followed by sucides and chronic liver diseases, accounting for approximately 32, 17 and 15 deaths per 100,000 people, respectively. Conversely, least number of males died from poisoning, just under 3 deaths per 100,000 people.

However, after 2000, all figures started fluctuating, mainly poisoning.
