the bar chart provides data on number of internet connections in five countries ( South Korea, USA, Germany, Japan and Britain from 2001 to 2002, while the table shows the rate of increase during the similar period.

Overall, all the countries showing the upward trends, with the figure for South Korea showing the most pronounced change. Meanwhile, the figure for britain recorded the lowest amount in both years. In addition, the britain made up the majority of the growth, while south korea recorded the lowest rise among all the countries.

Focusing on internet connections first, South korea made up almost 16 in the initial year, followed by significant rise to roughly 24 in the following year. The USA showed about 4 in 2001, after which it jumped slightly to approximately 6 in 2002. Regarding germany, the figure started at 3 in 2001, after which it observed a modest growth to 5 in 2002. As for japan, in started at 4 in 2001. There was a gradual increase to 7 in 2002. When it comes to britain, it showed just 2 in the initial year.
