The bar chart compares the level of network access in a group of five countries – South Korea, USA, Germany, Japan and Britain throughout the period from 2001 to 2002, whereas the table illustrates the data about the growth of internet access in the same period. Overall, it is evident that Britain had the highest growth in internet connection development and the lowest connection growth was in South Korea.
To begin with, network access per 1000 people for South Korea was under 20 in 2000, slightly increasing to close to 30 in 2001. The figure for the USA had fewer than 5 in 2000, with a negligible growth to approximately 7 in 2001. In Germany, the figure increased from approximately 3 to 6 during the period 2000 and 2001. Japan observed an increase from about 5 to 8 over the period 2000 to 2001. Finally, the figure rose by approximately 2, from about 2 in 2000 to around 4 in 2001 in Britain.
Additionally , the most significant growth was in Britain with 230% and the lowest growth was in South Korea with 41%. The next largest differences were observed in Japan with 75%, Germany with 67%, and the USA with 50% respectively.
