Given is the line graph illustrating the amount of overseas visits to three different destinations in a particular European country from 1987 to 2007.
Overall, it is clear that the popularity of all areas had increased by the end of the period. It is also worth mentioning that visits to both the coast and lakes witnessed a dramatic surge, while those of the mountains could not boast with the similar alteration.
To commence with figures for visits to the coast and lakes areas, the former opened the period with 40000, which was fourfold higher than the latter. By 2002, the latter had managed to surpass the former by 10000, reaching an all-time high of around 75000. However, the last year was quite unfavourable for the latter, as it underwent a sharp decline to 50000, whereas the former ended up gradually growing to nearly 75000.
As for the statistics of mountain visits, approximately 20000 travelers went to such kind of place in 1987. This was followed by a fluctuation in numbers over the next 15 years and then by a rise to about 35000 in the last given year.
