Conversely, internet usage among teenage girls started low but gradually increased , showing a fluctuating trend and ended with the same percentage as the boys.
In detail, in 1995, there are 100 boys that utilized the internet, and the number doubled a year later. The subsequent years showed increments at approximately 25% until 1998. The years 1999 until 2002 showed a steady number of use of internet among boys at roughly 300, which is three times more compared to the initial count recorded in 1995.
On the other hand, the number of girls who used the internet started low at approximately 75. On the subsequent year , the figure increased to twofold at over 150 on 1996, and the this trend continued until 1998 where there are 300 girls who used web access. There was a slight dip on 1999, but on 2000 until 2002, internet use among girls became steady at over 300.
