The line graph displays the number of UK teenagers following a vegetarian diet.
Overall, the number increased throughout the given period of time. However, the number relatively remained the same until around 2015. Furthermore, there were both notable and insignificant changes in these years.
Firstly, in 1980, there were only approximately 180,000 vegetarian adolescents across the United Kingdom, and this number slightly climbed up to almost 260,000 individuals in 1985. After that, the number dropped by around 60,000 in the next 10 years. By contrast, this group witnessed a considerable rise in the number when the year was 2000.
On the other hand, after the increment, there was a moderate decrement as well, which was from just below 400,000 to over 200,000 in 2005, and the number slightly fluctuated until around 2015. In the next five years, the number of vegetarian teenagers abruptly inclined to around 950,000, which was the sharpest change and the peak of this group in the entire 40 years.
