Overall, Louvre and Vatican museums started over the half and rose gradually, and both followed the same trend till the end. In contrast, the London Science museum, opened below half and experienced an decrease throughout the year.
The Louvre museum had the highest number of visitors compared to the other three museums with approximately 8 million in 1980, the figure reached its highest of nearly 9 million in 1995 and remained steadily till 2015, before dropping approximately to 8.2 million in 2000. In comparison, Vatican museums had nearly 5 million tourists in the opening year, where the proportion of tourists significantly increased to approximately 8.9 million in 2015.
On the other hand, the London science museum opened with 4 million and had constant visitors until 1985, in the next five years saw a sharp decline of 3.8 million and the figure decreased gradually over the time period and tourist numbers went to 2 million in 2015.
Similarly, Shenzhen museum had 3.9 million visitors approximately in the beginning and remained stable till 2015, where it experienced a slight decrease approximately to 3.3 millions tourists in 2000.
