Overall, all the items undergone an increase in possession, except for Telephone. In addition, despite starting from low rate, Mobile phone and Internet had the most significant growth throughout the given period.
In 2001, the percentage of owning Telephone, Microwave, CD player, and Clothes dryer stood at 95%, 80%, 70%, and 60%, respectively. After rising 10% and 20%, the figure for Microwave and CD player both reached 90%, far popular than Clothes dryer with 10% in growing that reached 70% by the end of 2008. On the other hand, despite being the leader with its highest proportion, Telephone witnessed a downfall around 5% that also shared the 90% position with the two others.
With a humble start from just 10% and 20% in 2001, Internet and Mobile phone surged dramatically to 60% and 80% in 2008, which are the most increasing in total compared. Besides, an upward trend was also seen in Home computer and Dishwasher. Not as remarkable as Internet and Mobile phone, however, the figures for Dishwasher and Home computer rose to 40%, and 80% in 2008, an increase from 10% and 40% from the beginning of the timeframe.
