The graph below illustrates the members of the academic staff for the faculties of a major university in 2012.
Overall, the male teachers were greater in number for most of the faculties in contrast to the females. As shown on the graph , the faculty of engineering had the most number of male teachers and the least number of females(18%). The medicine faculty on the other hand, females surpassed the males by a 1% difference, almost an equivalent number of teachers from both sexes.
The science and business faculties had an equivalent number of lecturers, 62 males and 38 female lecturers for the two facilities. However, the faculty of education had the lowest number of male lecturers than any other faculty in the university, with faculty of arts coming in second at 42 number of males.
