It is clear that, television has shown upward trajectory, rising from being almost unused to becoming a leading source, while internet,radio and newspaper usage have declined steadily throughout the period.
In 1995, internet usage stood at around 70%, radio accounted for 59% and followed by newspaper at roughly 52% while television usage was negligible. The internet’s popularity dipped to approximately 57% in 2000 before climbing back to nearly 60% in 2010, after which it’s access by audience fell gradually to about 52% in 2025.
The fraction of people used radio and newspaper decreased gradually over the years, falling from 50% each in 2000 to roughly 30% and 32% respectively by 2025, with radio consistently remaining slightly higher than newspapers.
Television usage remained flat at under 5% until 2000, then rose sharply and consistently reaching around 27% in 2010, 40% in 2020, and finally overtaking the internet to reach approximately 58% by 2025, the highest figure recorded for any source.
