In 1992, in the UK, percentage of people who recycle their trash was just over a quarter, but after 12 years, this figure increased dramatically and reached over 30%, which was the highest value among other countries. The numbers for the US also jumped from around 17% to 19%.
Japan, on the other hand, witnessed gradual decrease, in 1992 percentage of recycling rubbish among people was over 10%, which dropped to around 7% in 2004. Feature for Singapore also declined from just above 5% to exactly 5% over the period. In addition, the value for Germany remained the same at 5% throughout the given time.
