Overall, it is evident that cell phones are mostly used by the youngest age group. Moreover, while using phones on the street was the most favourable option by all people, family dinners recorded the lowest cell phone usage rates in all age groups.
Regarding public transport situation, it emerged as the leading situation at approximately 90% among 18-29 cohort, after which it declined for the rest of the age groups, reaching the lowest end of the usage spectrum at the 65+ category at approximately 58%. Likewise, using cell phones on the street rates were notably high and remained steady across all the groups, representing the lowest at around 79% for 50-64 category and the highest point at 81% for 30-49 age cohort.
In stark contrast, the restaurants and family dinners represented the least favourable situations for cell phone usage. Despite the restaurants recording the highest cell phone usage among 18-29 group at 50%, its initual figure fell across all the remaining age categories, attracting the least amount of usage at around 16%. On the other hand, family dinner cell phone usage was relatively low across all age cohorts, accounting for 19% for people aged 18-29 and the forming the lowest at 9% for 30-49 age category.
