The given bar chart gives information about the distribution of females going into higher education in five different countries in the years 1970 and 2005. Overall, it can be clearly seen that the highest percentage of women who went to higher school was made by all countries at the end of the period, while at the beginning of the period showed the lowest proportion. In addition, the figure in Canada was the equal rate in two years.

In 1970, the women students in the UK and the USA stood at 35% and precisely 40%, respectively. Then there was a significant increase of almost 25% in 2005. Furthermore, female pupil participants in Canada remained unchanged at exactly 60% in both years.

Similarly, the upward trend in Females who continued to higher education was allocated to Japan and Germany which comprised 20% and 50%, respectively in 1970. Whilst there was doubled in Japan in 2005, there was slight growth to 55% in 2005
