The line graph compares information regarding the proportion of people in a European state on different weekdays over a 4-year period.
Overall, it is clear that by the end of the week, the number of people who have a passion to go to the cinema increased dramatically, especially on Saturday in 2005. However, on other weekdays, from Monday to Thursday, the number of cinema visitors had almost the same percentages throughout the given period.
In 2003, the number of visitors on Friday and Sunday was the same at 30%, which was 10% less than on Saturday. In 2005, the numbers on weekends saw the biggest, similar rises of 5%, with Friday remaining stable at the same number in 2005. By the end of the period, the percentages of visitors fell significantly, decreasing by 3% for both Saturday and Sunday, with Friday remaining unchanged throughout the period.
However, looking at the number of visitors on weekdays, we see that this pattern is largely reversed, compared to weekends. The lowest number was seen on Monday throughout the given period, at around 10–14 percent. Regarding Tuesday, this appears to reflect Thursday in terms of people who used to go to the cinema; 20–18 percent in 2003, 17–13 percent in 2005, and similar percentages in 2007, respectively. On Wednesday, on the other hand, a marked constant drop was observed, from 16% to 8% in the number of visitors over the given period.
